Kiln hire:

At Dockyard Ceramics Studio we welcome enquiries from non-members who wish to fire their own work in our top-loading Nabertherm 190 kiln. For private kiln hire we charge £95 for stoneware or earthenware glaze firings, or £80 for bisque firings. We also offer use of our facilities for glazing work (using your own materials) prior to firing at a rate of £8/hour. We do not require a damage deposit before firing work, but we do ask for evidence that clays and glazes used are suitable for the demanded temperatures, and an agreement that any damage caused to kiln equipment through error will be paid for.
